Two weeks ago, when Brent Carter brought the flag inside at the end of the day, the shop’s co-owner discovered it vandalized with several burn holes.
PANAMA CITY — Every day, Brent Carter hangs the American flag outside McGraws Shoe and Boot Service on Harrison Avenue.
A local shoe repair business is standing tall after an American flag was vandalized outside their store.
The flag outside of McGraw's Shoe Repair was vandalized when cigarette holes appeared to be burned into it.
From his perch on the U.S. House Veterans Affairs Committee, U.S. Rep. Neal Dunn, R-Fla., who served more than a decade as an Army surgeon, will get a chance to focus on his “Veterans Increased Choice for Transplanted Organs and Recovery (VICTOR) Act” this week.
"The community really appreciates everything Dr. Dunn has done in congress. Especially the votes that he's taken and the issues that he's promoted in Washington D.C. and he's always been part of the economic development push for this area of the state," said Keith Williams, Marianna Resident.
United States Congressman Neal Dunn made a stop at Cottondale High School Wednesday morning to make a special donation.
Dunn greeted the students and teachers as they lined the school's halls.
The Congressman donated close to 50 books ranging from fiction to text books.
The books are actually from the Library of Congress.
For those on dialysis, the treatment is synonymous to life.
Congressman Neal Dunn, also known as Dr. Dunn, is hoping to give these patients a better quality of life.
