Project description: The funding would be used to allow investment in AI infrastructure on FSU’s campus that will significantly expand the university’s capacity to conduct advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning research that directly supports national defense priorities.

Project name: Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee Simulator Upgrade

Requested amount: $3,000,000

Project description: The funding would be used to upgrade the Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee’s current simulator. For this project, Challenger Center will adjust the base simulator design to fit the dimensions of the rooms at Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee.

Project description: The funding would be used to support a state-of-the-art forensic laboratory at the new Tallahassee Police Department Headquarters, strengthening investigative capabilities and enhancing public safety throughout Florida’s capital region.

Project name: Fire/Crash Station

Requested amount: $48,000,000

Project description: The funding would be used for a fire/crash station. The station utilizes economical design and construction methods to accommodate the mission of the facility. The new facility includes crash/fire rescue station with multiple drive-through bays. Construction will include concrete slab on grade, 8" concrete masonry unit walls, metal standing seamless roof and all necessary climate resiliency measures. The facility includes a 500 KW generator and is authorized by Air Force Manual 32-1062. The project includes utilities, pavements, communications support, emergency generator, site improvements, soil remediation, and other supporting work necessary to make a complete and usable facility.

Project name: Aging Watermain Lines, Meters, and Fire Hydrants

Requested amount: $297,800

Project description:  The funding would be used to replace aging watermain lines, associated meters and fire hydrants within its service area. Much of the existing infrastructure has reached the end of its useful life, increasing the risk of water loss, service interruptions, reduced water pressure, and limited fire protection capacity. This project will modernize critical utility infrastructure, protect public health, improve fire protection services, and promote long-term operational sustainability for the community served by Cherry Lake Utilities Corporation.

 

Project name: Water Meter and Distribution Line Replacement Project

Requested amount: $383,162

Intended recipient: City of Jacob, FL

Project description: The project consists of purchasing 90 water meters and boxes for customer replacements, 10 additional meters and boxes for backups and new customers, installation costs associated with the meter installations, and associated distribution line replacement. The City is facing critical water infrastructure challenges that threaten the reliability, efficiency, and financial sustainability of its municipal water system. Many existing water meters and meter boxes are outdated and deteriorating, resulting in inaccurate readings, water loss, billing inefficiencies, and increased maintenance costs.

 

Project name: Water and Wastewater System Improvements

Requested amount: $1,886,300

Intended recipient: City of Madison, FL

Project description: The funding would be used to complete water and wastewater system improvements, consisting of line replacements along County Camp Road and Bunker Street. The City is facing critical infrastructure challenges that threaten the reliability, efficiency, and financial sustainability of its municipal system. The existing water and sewer lines in this corridor are aging and in need of replacement to prevent service disruptions, reduce the risk of leaks and sanitary sewer overflows, and ensure continued compliance with state and federal environmental standards.

 

Project name: Station #4 Replacement Project

Requested amount: $11,000,000

Project description: The funding would be used to replace a 50-year-old fire station, providing a safe operating environment during hurricanes or other natural disasters and enabling an effective response. Additionally, it will allow the Department’s 100’ ladder truck to relocate to better respond to critical industrial, residential, and commercial properties.

 

Project name: Four-Bay Fire Station

Requested amount: $4,500,000

Intended recipient: City of Perry, FL

Project description: The funding would be used to construct a new, modern fire station to replace the existing 100-year-old facility. The current station is undersized, outdated, and located near a designated flood hazard area, placing critical emergency operations at risk during severe weather events and hurricanes. The proposed project will construct a 75’ x 150’ four-bay fire station on two vacant, city-serviced parcels outside of the flood zone. The new facility will significantly enhance emergency response capacity by providing adequate space for modern firefighting and rescue equipment, 24-hour operational readiness, and a hardened safe room to protect first responders during disasters.

Project description: The funding would be used to construct a new Fire Rescue Station to serve the Wakulla Station community. The existing Wakulla Station Fire Rescue Station has been determined to lack sufficient resources to adequately support its operations, and a suitable replacement is needed in order to meet the public safety needs of residents and visitors.

Project name: Area Q/R-1: Critical Infrastructure Improvements

Requested amount: $15,244,691.85

Project description: Update infrastructure in Panama City leading to improvements in drinking water quality, reduce boil water notices, improve fire flow and sanitary sewer containment, reduce sanitary sewer overflows, and sulfur dioxide and methane exposure.

Project name: Comprehensive Men’s Health Center Construction & Medical Equipment

Requested amount: $3,000,000

Intended recipient: Bond Community Health Center

Project description: The funding would construct of a 23,000 square foot Comprehensive Men’s Health Center at Bond Community Health Center in Tallahassee to expand access to primary care, specialty care, behavioral health services, and preventative wellness programs across Florida’s 2nd District and Big Bend region.

Project description: The funding would be used to restore full inpatient capacity at its new rural hospital by building out 16 additional inpatient rooms and related infrastructure. The project will address sustained bed demand, reduce transfers to distant hospitals, expand rehabilitation and specialty care capacity and create more than 20 new clinical and support jobs while improving access for residents across a four-county region.

Project description: The funding would be used to design and construct the infrastructure to allow access to the land north of the Terminal Complex for future aviation support facilities. The Airport has 4,000 acres of which presently 1200 acres is developed and based on demand there is an immediate need to have additional parcels available.

Project description: The funding would be used to safeguard its 10,000+ students and strengthen North Florida’s disaster response capabilities. As hurricanes and severe storms increasingly threaten the region, FAMU’s current infrastructure lacks the centralized command, interoperable technology, and coordination capacity needed to act decisively during crises.

Project description: The funding would be used to support a rural healthcare facility established to advance wellness, public health outcomes, healthcare technology, fitness, eradication of food deserts, farm-to-table nutrition and similar services substantially dedicated to mitigating or responding to public health needs and episodic medical treatment needs of uninsured and underserved populations in rural Gadsden County, Florida.

Project name: NextStep Works!: A Learning Lab for Autistic Adults

Requested amount: $500,000

Intended recipient: NextStep at Endeavor Academy

Project description: The funding would be used to launch NextStep Works!, a learning lab to provide hands-on training and instruction to strengthen opportunities for long-term employment for autistic adults, as well as a driver education program utilizing technology and evidence-informed instruction tailored to autistic learners.

Project name: PanCare of Florida Blountstown Community Health Center Renovation in Fiscal Year 2027

Requested amount: $3,059,050

Intended recipient: Calhoun Liberty Hospital

Project description: The funding would renovate a 12,050-square-foot existing building in Blountstown, Florida to establish a full-service community health center providing primary care, dental services, behavioral health services, and pharmacy services.

Project name: Feeding North Florida Families: Expanding Meal Production and Protein Distribution

Requested amount: $4,500,000

Intended recipient: Second Harvest of the Big Bend

Project description: The funding would be used to to construct a commercial production kitchen and expand refrigerated and freezer storage to strengthen food distribution across North Florida. SHBB serves 16 counties, most rural, where 20% of residents live in poverty and 55% are ALICE households. The kitchen will produce up to 5,000 hot or chilled meals daily for seniors, children, individuals with disabilities, and disaster victims who lack the ability to cook.

Requested amount: $3,000,000

Project description: The funding would be used to support the design, engineering, permitting, construction, construction administration, and services for the necessary improvements to the passenger screening area, core terminal infrastructure upgrades and modernization, including for elevator and related ADA access, and other affected areas impacted by the expansion of the passenger screening area of the terminal at Tallahassee International Airport (TLH).
