WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Neal Dunn (Florida-02) released the following statement after his bill, H.R. 1199, the Facilitate Innovative Nuclear Diagnostics (FIND) Act, advanced favorably from the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health. The FIND Act aims to align Medicare reimbursement for radiopharmaceutical diagnostics with their actual value, increasing access to screenings and avoiding inaccurate treatment.

“When we avoid unnecessary and inappropriate treatment due to inaccurate scans, Medicare saves money. More importantly, when a physician can obtain an accurate diagnosis, we can achieve the best outcome for patients,” said Congressman Dunn. “Throughout my career in medicine, I have seen how delayed or inaccurate screening can affect patients and their families. The FIND Act will increase access to life-saving scans while empowering doctors and patients with the ability to determine the correct diagnosis early. I’m thrilled that my bill has passed the Subcommittee and look forward to expanding access to these potentially life-saving scans.”
