WASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Neal Dunn was sworn into the 115th Congress Tuesday afternoon. The Panama City Surgeon and U.S. Army Veteran was elected to Florida's 2nd congressional district in November over two opponents from Tallahassee.
Dunn, a Republican, joins Congress during a unique time. It's the first time in a decade Republicans control both houses of Congress and the White House.
He told News 13 following his victory he plans to tackle big issues like health care and Zika Virus funding.
The house also officially elected its leaders Tuesday including Speaker Paul Ryan and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.
