Congressman Neal Dunn of the Second District of Florida was in Panama City Saturday.

He told us he was in town to communicate with his constituents and to ensure emergency services are in place.

"This is a real storm. We haven't seen one like this in Panama City since Opal in '95. This is a big storm. It's a dangerous storm. We got to pay attention and if they tell you to evacuate, evacuate. Just get to the shelters. This is not the time to be a hero and try to ride something out. Be safe, be safe around electricity and there's a lot of great information available through the websites, FEMA, and locally and I urge everybody to pay attention," Dunn said.

He said community leaders are prepared for the impact Hurricane Irma may have.
