PANAMA CITY, FL – Congressman Neal Dunn, M.D. (FL-02) announced that Suwannee Senior High School student Timothy Jolicoeur secured an appointment to the United States Military Academy.

“I am thrilled that we have another hard-working student from Florida’s Second Congressional District heading to the United States Military Academy,” said Congressman Dunn. “Timothy is a driven young man who has a bright future ahead of him. This is one of my great joys as a Member of Congress and I’m grateful to be a part of Timothy’s next chapter.”

Timothy is an honor student and athlete with an impressive list of extracurriculars, including cross country, wrestling, and Navy JROTC. He received high scores on both the ACT and the SAT and is dual-enrolled at North Florida College.

Since the very young age of eleven years old, Timothy aimed to serve his country in the U.S. Armed Forces.

“A career in military service will give me the opportunity to fight and strive for the same thing our Founding Fathers fought for: freedom for myself and those who will come after me,” said the Suwannee High School Senior.

This young man’s passion for serving others and admirable perseverance will certainly make his hometown of Live Oak and the entire Second Congressional District proud.
