WASHINGTON, D.C. – Representative Neal Dunn, M.D. (FL-02) issued the following statement regarding the Susan B. Anthony List’s National Scorecard for the 116^th Congress.

“The Susan B. Anthony List recently gave me an A+ rating for my support of pro-life legislation during the 116^th Congress. As both a parent and a doctor, it is my duty to save and protect lives. We must be a voice for babies who are unable to speak for themselves and defend their right to life. I will not sit on the sidelines and bear witness to the destruction of innocent lives nor condone the misuse of taxpayer funds being used by those who would seek to destroy them.”

Representative Dunn is a long-time supporter of the pro-life movement. He is an original cosponsor for two pro-life bills that were recently re-introduced in the 117^th Congress: the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, a bill that establishes a new criminal offense for performing or attempting to perform an abortion if the probable post-fertilization age of the fetus is 20 weeks or more, and the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, a bill that prohibits the use of federal funds for abortions or for health coverage that includes abortions. Additionally, Rep. Dunn has joined a letter supporting the Hyde Amendment, a four-decade-old ban on taxpayer-funded abortion.
